Collection: Woody | Captain

 Oh, hello!

I'm Woody, and I'm a Golden Retriever that talks with a deep voice. I'm 11 years old, and semi-retired these days.

When I was a younger pup, I had my brother, Gus. We were THE best buds.

I was named after Captain Woodrow Call and Gus was named after Captain Augustus McCrae from the book Lonesome Dove. I never read it, but I really like being a captain.

Gus got sick when we were little. The vet said it was cancer. I'm not sure what that means, but we stayed best buds until we had to say goodbye. 

After that, my parents said I needed some company so I got a little sister, Lilah. She's a little bossy, but she's been really cool.

Now I have the whole Happy Tails crew, so I actually have a lot more company than I really want most of the time. 

When I'm not captaining the crew, I love to swim a lot. Here's me getting my ball out of the pool. My ball's name is Wilson.

I think I could fetch Wilson out of the pool all day for the rest of my life. Well I guess I'd probably need some naps. 

I'm really good at naps.

Sometimes I even nap on the couch. I jump up on the couch usually after someone else gets up, so the seat is already warm.

Some people have called me a "seat stealer", but hey, this is my house.

I also love breakfast and dinner time and always eat my meal. My mom makes really good meals and gives me human food a lot. My favorite is burgers from the grill. Mmmmm.

Anyway, thanks for checking out our site and getting to know me. Writing this has made me tired though so I'm off for a nap.
